Got accepted about a week ago, but nothing in the mail yet. They didn’t even send me an e-mail telling me to check my app status, I just found out through my obsessive checking ;]
3.43 GPA (weighted)
2330 SAT
Econ BA, but I might switch to Sociology or English (pre-law) if I SIR.

Are you in or out of state

Hi, not sure I would get any fin aid as I live in New York. Just not sure about cali community colleges. Would like to know more about them.

Community colleges like the CSUs and UCs are heavily impacted.

In state, Bay Area.

It’s been way too quiet haha! Have any Out-of-State kids been accepted yet?

Any news on in-state applicants in addition?

Yes, I did (looked on-line) for my answer: Called last Thursday for more details… Info re: housing etc. is on the way… I was told. Location: (Northern/East coast)

crap, think i got rejected. It says “an admission decision has been made… please call blah blah blah if you have not received your status”!

i tried calling for the past 3 hours, the i can’t get to anyone, the call center is full. :(

I’m freaking out!

I got Rejected.

For those interested these are my latest stats and the ones i’ve sent out to csulb;

2100
3.8 GPA
A prediction of 38 Points on IB
750 & 680 on my SAT 2’s

frankly, the university has asked for diversity, well I’m pretty much diverse as you can get.
Born in the states, lived a couple years in Europe, and have been moving around Africa since 2004… Hence, i’ve seen a lot of stuff, met a lot of people… I pretty much have seen the world. But I guess, I’m not good enough to get into university in my home state :(. I’ve been rejected to UCLA, UCD, USC, UCSC, UCI, i’ll probably get rejected to UCSB, and just got rejected to CSULB.

Good Luck to you all.

If you’re wondering what the rejection message sounds like, it just say’s an admission decision has been made, please contact enrollment services…
I’m actually really depressed right now, I thought I had a chance getting in somewhere in SoCal.

I’m probably gunna go jump of a building or a bridge.

NOT.

I guess I got rejected to this one, because i’m applying overseas?

How did you get rejected your stats are sogood! Where are you gonna end up going

I was accepted into UCSC, and UCSB, and I have no intention of going to long beach, but I still want to know if I got accepted… My decision is still pending D=

iamtheironman, you’ve got to be kidding. I’m calling ducktales if CSULB doesnt accept s student with 2100 SAT and 3.8 GPA. Just no way.

march is almost over, and i still haven’t heard anything at all. does anyone know a date when all the admission decisions will be made?

I got into NYU and ASU, I guess I might as well go there, and then just transfer to a UC in sophomore year… But you guy’s don’t understand, i’ve been waiting 9 years to move back to socal, I guess it’s gunna have to wait another year :(! gosh it sucks to feel like no one want’s you :(!

With my Stats, got accepted to 2, and rejected to like 8

Good Luck to you Guys! Keep me posted if you get in :(… Make sure you have a back up, things don’t always go according to plan :(!

Did you apply to UCLA?

That’s absolutely ridiculous that you didn’t get in. You have amazing stats.

Ironman:

One word: Appeal!

Really, when you show the persistence and write an appeal with all those statements you made about being well traveled, diversed and obviously intelligent, it shows that you REALLY want CSULB. College apps don’t give any insight on a type of person, but an appeal letter can. If I were you I would appeal to various universities you’ve been denied to in California.

iamtheironman: That is CRAZY!!! Your stats are awesome. There must be a mistake. How can you be rejected at at CSU but accepted to NYU??? That is total BS.

By the way, I don’t think you can transfer to CSULB until you have 60 credit hours. I may be wrong, but I thought I read that somewhere.

Best of luck to you!

You can transfer undergrad to CSULB (less then 60 units) only if you are in engineering or nursing majors.
