If you've seen the College Conspiracy documentary...what are your thoughts on it? Is college still a wise choice? If you haven't seen it...you should check it out, just go to YouTube and search for "College Conspiracy" should be an hour long or so..

Lettuce discuss please!!! Gtfih!

Guess nobody cares and everyone here has full-scholarships. At least ■■■■■ me…

Never seen it,but I think its not a conspiracy. College is worth it and needed to get somewhere in life, unless you have experience. With unemployement being as high as it is, there is a lot of competition out there in the job market, and having a degree makes you stand out.

College is not worth it if you don’t take it seriously. If your just looking at it as 4yrs to party and let looose then chances are you aren’t really going to get your moneys worth;but if you actually study and do the work you willl not only get a degree at the end of it but you will also end up with vast amount of knowledge

Finally!!! Thanks ramil517…do you think your success also depends on your major??

Btw the documentary was suggesting one should invest in silver and sell it after some years(forgot how many). Let’s get more pov’s please!

That’s it??

Not worth it? Sure, if you want work at entry level minimum wage dead end
job for rest of your life. If you want any well paying +50k job, well society
demands you have a college degree.

IVY league schools are overrated and overpriced ran by ego vampires.
Find a respected private/for profit accredited school get education for half
the price. As always, do your research into any school that might interest
you. Beware of diploma mills and schools with shady business practices like
Devery and ITT Tech who allows anyone in, been raided by the IRS and not
respected by job recruiters.

also

College was quite valuable when not every class of people could afford to go. Low-class, middle, etc can afford to go to college to some degree(no pun intended) thanks to student loans, minority benefits and financial aid. Since so many people have college diploma’s their value isn’t nearly as high as it once was. In the same light i still recommend college experience

OP, beg for replies all you want in this thread. But please stop clogging up other threads.

Well yea, it can depend on what major. I’M NOT TRYING TO PUT ANYONE DOWN but a chemical engineering degree might be more valuable than say a music or arts degree. But it all depends on the student! If you barely slide through college just getting the bare minimmum then your degree can be worthless since you won’t know much
