Coming out of hs, my math skills really sucked, and I had to take several semesters of remedial algebra courses. Please tell me I'm not the only person here who's had to go through this.

i heard on the radio 43% of student take remedial eng and math. DOn't feel bad.

You're not I actually place very low in math. I ended up having to take three remedial courses. However because I was able to complete one of them rather quickly, I was allowed to work ahaid. I managed to complete the work for two of those course all in the duration of one class which really helped. I'm in my last semester at my CC now, and just now reached a college level math class.

What annoyed me more was that I had to take a remedial english course. After 2 years in High School Journalism I was shocked at that... Judging from my grade in the class, I will maintain that I was right and could have easily started in Freshmen comp.

alot fo schools offer remedial math. don't feel bad.

Alot of the more selective schools don't though, although i wished they would.

I had to take algebra in college as well since I also did badly in it in high school. Don't feel bad. I think there are a good number of students who've had to go through that. As long as you finally did complete the courses, that's what matters.

I had to take math 101 and Writ 100 and then 101.

Its fine, I mean a waste of money but whatever
