@keef: same here. I accepted it via the “Accept/Decline” link.

TIP FOR THOSE WAITING/CHECKING APP STATUS: You know how when you check your admission status, it sends you an email saying “you’re in the competitive round…”

Yeah I have like 10000 of those from checking constantly. BUT when I was admitted, as soon as i entered my bday/social and hit next, it just popped up in the browser and said I was admitted. So if it asks you to confirm your email and hit send and you get an email and all that crap, you’re still pending. Hope this helps…

Hey guys! I got accepted into Mechanical Engineering today! must say I’m extremely happy to say I’ll be attending CSULB! I thought my lower division transfer was not going to go through (phew!) haha.

I sent transcripts but my application said it was withdrawn why?

Has anyone notice that when you check your status and you get the email, it doesn’t say that a decision will be made by May 1st. It just says that they will email you. I wonder if Im gonna have to wait even longer

I am also waiting. My major is nutrition and it is not an impacted major. My GPA is 3.6 and I am getting crazy with this waiting thing. Why are they making me wait so long if it is only to say that I didn’t make this year? that’s insane!

I thought that today would be the day I would find out but looks like it’s not. This wait is driving me crazy

P.s my major is sociology

This wait is also driving me crazy. I am a transfer student and my major is soical work, I understand it is an impacted major but many other impacted majors have been accepted by now. I was hoping today would be the day I found out but my application report sill said I am in the “competitive decision round”

Let’s just keep checking guys! One more week, we have waited this long and I am honestly ready to be denied haha!

Extrema, I feel the same way. I’m almost sure I’m getting denied, I’ll be shocked if I get accepted

@upandaway: congrats!!! maybe ill see you in a few classes!!

do you mind posting your gpa?

@Extrema,
I am also hopeless. I have a good GPA, but I am also trying to get credits for math and chemistry classes I took in my country. So, if I don’t get accepted I will know that is because they didn’t give me credits for classes I took in Brazil.

Have any Kinesiology transfer majors heard anything yet???

@ EliteToast, @ Upandaway, do you guys know anything about Mechanical Engineering program at CSULB? Is it any good? Are the classes hard to get? Are students graded on a curve or on A-F grade scale??

I’m a CC transfer student, Psych major and I still haven’t heard from CSULB. I check my app status 4 times a day. The wait is seriously killing me. I received the letter stating they needed my transcripts back in Jan. and submitted them all. Come March 9th (the deadline for the documents) and I receive a letter saying they still need one of my transcripts, which I had submitted way before the deadline. I called admissions and told them I had sent my transcript in and she said it had been misfiled and that she was going to update my application :|. Freakin’ aaaa! My app status thing says I’m in the competitive round, but I’m a little nervous because I saw a few psych transfers post their acceptance.

Are any psych transfers still waiting???

dmangat and adfugal, let’s just keep our sanities for now. It’s all gonna be over soon. There is still hope right? I have two other school choices although like everybody says and know, I really don’t wanna end up going to Dominguez Hills, even though I live lie 3 minutes away.

I forgot to add that I called last week, admission person told me that my major has just become impacted (Health Care Administration) and that my application is going though the impaction review, whatever that means. She proceeded to tell me that I am not yet denied, just in limbo (I deciphered her words myself). I kind of waited until March 8 to actually go to the campus to turn in my transcripts. I’m just hoping I have a seat left for me. So far, CSULB has the best Health Care Administration program that I could find.

My transfer GPA is actually going to be at 3.7, while I put in my application 3.5 so it makes me think that not everyone with a decent GPA can get in.

@EliteToast Definitely! I hear they have a lot of extra circular stuff for engineers to get involved with too. Should be real fun.

@CSULBengineer From why I have been told and the research I’ve done, they have a great program. Others top it as third in the CSU’s after Cal Poly SlO and Pomona. It’s also within the top 50 best undergraduate engineering programs (most likely for the universities without a PhD of course). So overall it would be a great pick!

@ extrema lol I’m in the same boat. If I don’t get in I’m gonna have to go to csudh but I don’t wanna. I need some advice not sure what to do if I don’t get in. Should I go to csudh or just wait till next yr to re-apply to the schools I wanna go to?
