@cheyHH: Im not in the service area, I’m from northern california.

RockyHorror: You’re welcome! It is interesting, I love studying the Inca especially. I love love love traveling, I actually spent a couple of weeks this summer in Europe and I’m hoping to study abroad in Germany or Australia. I want to go to Canada so badly, I hear it’s beautiful there.
Yay for independence!

jaythe65: Don’t stress either way! You should be hearing on your status any day now. (:

CheyHH: That’s very cool. It’s good to travel young, I just don’t have the money or the freedom yet but someday soon hopefully. Yea, my dream place to live is England. I find the U.K to be very exciting!!! Here’s hoping for the future.

jaythe65: I’m sure you’ll get in! Think about this: you haven’t be rejected yet so you are still in the running for admissions. I’m from Southern California and I still haven’t heard anything yet. We’ll be fine, I’m sure. :)

Anyone hear anything else about their admissions into CSULB???

RockyHorror: If you ever do get to go you’ll love it. Make sure to see a play or two but be careful with the Tube! We got lost and had to walk 2 hours to the next station to get back downtown.

Anyone else still waiting to even send their transcripts? I applied Nov 4th 2011 and I have the same message on the email. They said they will notify in February if they want you to send it in. Basically we only have 8 days remaining in February and I’m scared that they wont ask me to turn it in.

Anyone else here that hasn’t been asked to turn in their transcript?

CheyHH: Hahha. Of course I will see a play when I go to England!!! There’s so much I am going to do when I visit, I’ll have to be there for like three weeks to get everything done in time. And then I’ll eventually go back another time in my life and settle in England for good. :)

rapidxone: I haven’t received anything about transcripts. I applied Oct 3rd 2011 and am still waiting for an email that either says that I got in, rejected or that I need to send in transcripts. All we can do is wait until they notifiy us I guess. :o

rapidxone: Did you apply as a transfer or a freshman? Freshman don’t turn in transcripts until June.

RockyHorror: England is so beautiful, the city and the country both. If you have a chance make sure to visit Warwick castle. It is absolutely gorgeous and the drive up there from the city is quite lovely.

rapidxone: I’m on the same boat as you… I actually called admissions today, and told him I have yet to receive any notification and gave my campus ID number. The guy on the other line said to continue waiting. There’s someone else on this forum that has turned in their transcripts as a transfer… I guess it’s just you and me waiting! I thought they forgot about me… but if I do not receive anything by the end of this week, I’m going to call them again, and if nothing still, I will call again on the last day of February. And if STILL nothing, I will ask admissions if I was forgotten. haha
BTW: I applied on the 30th of November… I almost forgot to apply for CSUs because I had so much going on in my life during that month!

Is your major impacted? I think (sand I could be wrong) I read someone saying that they take care of the impacted majors first, and then they work on the non-impacted majors. Mine is not impacted.

CheyHH: Yea, I know. I’m like obsessed with that country!!! I will definitely make a note of it. Are there any countries that you are totally obsessed with???

4b1a5y: I am like you and rapidxone. I am waiting for a notification through my email. I applied as a freshmen for fall 2012 and my major is not impacted either. I haven’t been asked to send my transcripts yet but I figure I should be hearing something from CSULB soon. Well hopefully it’s good news…

I applied as a transfer, my major is not impacted. One of my classmate who applied two weeks before the application deadline has already gotten his request to send in his transcript. He is computer engineering major.

RockyHorror, I applied in the same day 10/03/2011 and I’m still waiting. Is your major impacted? I’m computer science major btw.

4b1a5y, let us know what happens, im eager to find out. I don’t think they forgot about us, it’s just there’s so many apps I guess.

RockyHorror: I am absolutely in love with England. Also, Killarney in Ireland is gorgeous when it doesn’t rain, if you ever get a chance to go there go on a boat tour on the lake. It takes your breath away. I am also in love with Wales, I really want to do a semester at the University of Bangor, I got the privilege of staying there one night, beautiful university, amazing food. If you ever want a vacation home, there is no better place to have one than Bangor. Another country that is beautiful is Belgium, especially if you like history.
Haha, I could talk about Europe all day and then don’t get me started on the Caribbean.
If you ever get the chance to travel in Europe, even if you are only going to be in a country for a day or two, do it. You will never regret it.

rapidxone: One of the transfer students who applied got an email that said the transcript isn’t due until March 9th. Maybe they will email you by February and you have a month to send them?

@coll234 thanks for the info!

@rapidxone
10/04/11 applied as a Transfer
01/30/12 emailed me saying I was considered in the final round as well as requesting college transcripts
I’m currently waiting for any news and they seem to have not been updating the online status cuz I called in and they said they have most of my transcripts but my status still says that I need to send them in. :0

CheyHH, there’s only 8 days left in February and were not too far off from march 9. I did hear it was march 16 though.

Carlie, thanks for that timeframe. Is your major impacted? I hope that they just haven’t updated their system, and we should get them shortly. Maybe I should call them. What number did you call?

@rapidxnone yes you should try. If I could bug them everyday I would lol. Here you go: 562-985-5471 and yes it’s impacted. The deadline in my email says March 9, 2012 as well btw!

CheyHH: Yea Europe seems fascinating from what I’ve read and seen in books, movies and on the internet. I need to go there to get the full throttle experience. Maybe I’ll backpack through the country, hitchhike with strangers, well I would do it if it wasn’t dangerous. But I will definitely keep that in mind when I travel there someday, I’m going to start saving money once I get a job.

My friends got accepted to CSULB and their SAT test scores were between 1600-1780 and gpa’s were between 3.70-3.90.

I on the other hand was asked for my transcripts. My gpa is around 4.15 and ACT scores were: math 25 and English 23.

seaworld: When did your friends get accepted??? And when were you asked for your transcripts???

Anyone else hear anything yet? I feel like they have forgotten about us…

Hey Guys!

I got accepted to CSULB about a week and a half ago.
I got into pre-nursing. Which I hear is the more competitive of the majors, so I’m lucky.

I’m about an hour east of San Diego. So I’m not in that orange county area.

My SAT’s were: 1520
and my csu GPA: 3.98

It’s not my first choice school, although, I’m still considering it.
My top choices are UC Irvine, SDSU, Point Loma Nazarene University, CSULB, and CSUSM.

@hannah Congrats!! Have you been accepted anywhere else yet?
