Although the program does sound sublime, I would love personal experiences (or experiences well-known from a friend who was in the program) to see if worth the time.
It seems it, but it’d be reassuring to have some examples.

Thanks in advance!

I haven’t attended (I’m an incoming freshman), but I am also very interested. My biggest problem though is that I was planning on working all summer and making money for books and savings. I’m also curious as to how rigorous the courses are.

I hope you figure which is best for you and enjoy that decision.
I decided that I would go. The coursework worried me for a second, but none of the courses are for credits, so the worst is that I just realize how difficult the classes will be and to come to OSU prepared as such.

The summer job issue would be a problem, but there is always opportunity to save money for books (Craigslist, Chegg, Amazon, &c.) and a part-time during school. I know that summer would be a better time for that, but the program seems a bit worth it, so I applied anyway.

I wish you luck on your decision.

Thank you! It’s mostly because I was going to take a nannying job that was going to pay 4k by the end of the summer. I’d like to attend, mostly because I want a better feel of the classes and living on campus.

Best of luck to you! :)

TheAlrightGatsby, are you going to be doing OSTEP? My nannying job fell through and I’m for sure doing the program. It sounds like its going to be a great time!

Oh, man, I thought I had replied.
Another “oh, man,” to the nannying news. Sorry to hear (…read).

You have applied and have been accepted then?
I am definitely going. It is a bit more work than I would normally have for the summer, but you’re right-- it sounds great. No doubt, I’m excited.

I am definitely going. Just got my info packet on Saturday and I can’t wait! Hope to see you around! :)
