Has anyone ever moved to a better high school in Senior year?

Has anyone ever moved to a better high school in Senior year? Because they felt their current high school at the time was inadequate?

I wonder... :)

I transferred my Junior year for different reasons, but I ended up so much better off at the new school.

I know someone who transferred to my high school his senior year cuz he was miserable at his other one. Understandably so, I know that school and it really does suck. He's been VERY happy at our school since starting here.

Someone I know moved to another school, don't know where or whether it's better, but under the probably valid supposition that you can't get much worse, I'm assuming it's better. She didn't like it there, and she didn't like switching schools for senior year anyways, so she came back within a month.

i wish i could transfer schools for my senior year.

The problem with transferring to a "better" school senior year is that you don't have any time to establish yourself. That coupled with the fact that you are at a better school means that you're just a dime a dozen according to the teachers. When it comes down to writing recommendations, you're going to need teachers that know you personally. I'm predicting that I will need around 25 or so recs (with most recs needing 2 or more teachers).

Yeah, that was a slight problem. Thankfully, my physics teacher got to know me really well pretty quickly which really helped with the recs. The biggest problem that I ran into was that the two schools were on different grading scales which really screwed up my GPA and ended up leaving me out of the top 20 in my class (I was 22). I also missed out on two weighted classes offered to sophomores only.
