I'm torn between the current school I'm attending and a preparatory school.

Currently I attend a pretty bad school. My schools offers <6 AP classes, 4 of which I'm taking next year. I'd like to stay at my current school for junior year and move to the prep school senior year. Is that a good idea? Or should I move to the new school starting next year

Why wait until senior year? That’s dumb. Move to the new school now if you want to.

So many threads about school switching…and most of the schools you guys are made out to be horrible but probably aren’t pretty bad. The amount of AP’s your school has doesn’t necessarily make or break the quality. Around here a lot of schools don’t have AP because we focus more on analytic skills rather than cramming useless information into our heads to regurgitate for the AP exam.

Personally, i’d only move schools if I felt physically and emotionally unsafe. But I guess I can’t blame people for wanting what they think will be a ‘better’ education.
