Has anyone ever read "The Crucible"

I need an idea of how hate could cause guilt throughout the story. Any ideas?
&
How hate could also cause separation.

I’m directly descended from Ann Putnam.

Just throwing that out there.

Then you should be able to help me???

Or does anyone have an idea what hate could cause?

Abigail wanted to get with John Proctor so she hated his wife Elizabeth. She tried to frame Elizabeth with witchcraft but that backfired, as John Proctor took the blame for his wife’s accusations.

I thought Mary took the blame??

“I made it in the court, sir, and gave it to Goody Proctor tonight”

“Child, you are certain this be your natural memory? May it be, perhaps, that someone conjures you even now to say this?” Hale -> Mary

No, she tried to frame Elizabeth. Remember when she got Mary to give the pin to Elizabeth?

Mary was blamed, but she never accepted it. She tried to prove herself innocent.

Hate causing separation:

Goody proctor resented the fact that John had been with Abigail and grew colder toward him, causing the two to begin to separate.

Tell me if this makes sense, i read it a year ago.

Haha that makes perfect sense. I made my first 2 body paragraphs similar to what you guys said. Though there should be at least 1 part of the book that is caused by hate which isn’t too obvious.

Anyone have 1 more thing???

That book was such trash…

I read the boook

I have an essay on it! I need 100%

Who hasn’t read that play?

I was supposed to read it, but I didn’t. :)

^ My teacher gives out the same tests and quizzes every year. We had someone from her class last year keep the tests/quizzes and give them to us.

Someone good at english should give me 1 last example of something caused by hate. besides hysteria & separation.

If you still need the help, use envy. Ann Putnam was envious of Rebecca Nurse because she was able to have numerous children, while Mrs. Putnam only had one child and multiple miscarriages. Thomas Putnam was driven by greed because he wanted the Coreys’ land.
