I heard one of my friends got off the waitlist for Bio major, and it kinda gave me false hope that they’d accept me for CS. I applied for housing at another school sadly but I’m honestly so anxious about CPP’s answer, because I’ve always wanted to go there. Does anyone know when they’ll tell us? Or how to know what position our waitlist is in?

Did she say what the deadline was to pay the enrollment deposit ? I am also a bio major and checked my portal and it said that i have been provisionally admitted . i was on the waitlist but i see nothing on my to do list @xdlamb
I was admitted off the waitlist today for CS.
I was also admitted to Honors College in March.
GPA: 4.04
SAT: 26 (super-scored)
@Readyfordecision is 4.04 your weighted or unweighted GPA?
I used the calculator from CSU mentor. I suppose that’s my CSU unweighted GPA
The CSU mentor calculator is weighted CSU GPA. You cannot have a UW GPA >4.0.
I just checked today and saw that I was accepted. I’m a computer science applicant so there is still hope!
My GPA weighted is 4.08 and SAT 1240 / 1600 and ACT 26. I’m still on the waitlist

my son got in 3.4 and 1280 local 12 min away i believe u still have chance

Already SIR’d UCSC. Any reason to consider switching to CPP?
@dilemma2017: Unless there are financial advantages and personal preference for CPP, I would stick with UCSC for CS. You will get a great education at either school, it is up to you which one you feel would be a better fit.
Thanks @Gumbymom ! CS is impacted at CPP. But UCSC takes you with an undeclared major & you need to complete required foundational courses to declare CS major, which looks very doable. So, looks like it is going to be UCSC. We haven’t visited CPP, might take look just to be sure.
