Has anyone gotten their freshman admission notification email from Berkeley?

Have anybody gotten their UC Berkeley notification email yet?

Because in the first 2 weeks of decemeber I've gotten emails from UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, UCI, and UCD. It's been 2 weeks since I recieved those 5 emails and still no email from Berkeley.

Is this usual? or should I be worried?

Nope, but I think I saw somewhere on their website that they usually release them in January? I’ve gotten the e-mails from UCLA, UCSD, and an acceptance from UCD, no UCI yet though.

Regarding Berkeley applicants, those chosen as candidates for the Regents/Chancellors should be notified via email sometime soon. This email is almost a guaranteed admission.

What’s a ‘Regents/Chancellors’?

And I got mine from UCLA and UCSD, no Berkeley, yet.

I just checked my email, last year I got my email notification for Regents from Berkeley on February 12th, so that’s when I knew I was accepted.

And I remember I got my Regents from UCLA and UCSD in late January at the very earliest… not sure though

So you guys probably won’t know until at least the end of January…

commonly known as the Regents scholarship in the UC system (Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholarship at UCB)

I got my Regents scholarship email the same day I got admitted lol . . . like in March.

nope, nothing from UCB (or UCI), I got app verification from UCLA and UCSD, and UCD acceptance.
So what kind of stats do you need for regents/chancellors at Berkeley?

^ At least 2250 SAT I and a high GPA. It’s not actually as selective as people think it is.

Still top 4% of every years’ admitted freshmen =P . . . so top 1% of applicant pool

How much of a scholarship do you get if you get that thing?

It’s $1000

Don’t get your hopes up though. Because someone with a 2390, 4.7 GPA, 13 APs, 7 IBs, varsity swim captain, CIF finalist, science olympiad captain and state medalist, and rotoract vice president didn’t get the scholarship. And now he has performed better than many regents here at Cal.

They tend to give the scholarship to each and every one of your friends who decide not to go to Berkeley. Even if you got the UCLA regents, which in my opinion is more selective. Yeah, I’m still bitter about it >:[

Yeah well . . . there’s RC scholars with 17 APs . . . 15 of them 5’s
