I just got my AP Scores, which are unexpectedly low, and when you compare it to those in my classes, everyone has higher SAT scores than me, even those who slack off! Is it possible that CollegeBoard could have mailed me incorrect scores, and what can I do to check?
Has this happened to anyone else?

There may have been an error in grading one of your tests, but its doubtful that that happened for all of your tests. Call and ask.

Bad comparison?:

I am wondering the same thing actually. My sheet said i got 3 fives (stat, bio, psych), and I wasn’t even expecting one. Oh wellll im not complaining, but would collegeboard ever take back scores?

^No they won’t take back the scores.

^ Where is that written or stated? i.e., How do you know?

Since when does the fact that the class average is higher than you entitle you to better scores? Being in a room full of smart people does not make somebody smart.

@chocolatecricket

LOL

Like SeekingUni, I don’t understand your reasoning for why you should get higher scores. But if you really think CB made a mistake, you can send in the tests to get rescored. It costs money though, and I don’t think you get the money back if the scores remain the same.

Maybe you should compare your scores to the scores of your classmates. If they all did substantially better, there might be a chance that Collegeboard messed up. However, there is a good chance that you just didn’t do as well as you thought. Either way, I would recommend a rescore, so that you can rid your mind of any doubt.

One of my friends (valedictorian for her class) got a 2 in AP US which was odd considering she had the highest grade in the class. She challenged the score (forgot how much it cost) and it turns out they forgot to add in her MC score with her essays. Ended up with a 5. So it may be possible they scored you incorrectly, but it is rare.

higher AP* scores. Whoops.
