And can you explain the circumstance? I haven’t caught senioritis, but I’ve received multiple C’s on my Progress Report and one F. I don’t know why, the classes seem to have gotten a lot harder. I’ve definitely not been slacking off because I want to make 5’s on the AP exam, but I was horrified when I saw my grades.
I’m getting very anxious right now and I’m getting very stressed about all of this. On the course with the F, the teacher caught me texting during a test and he assumed I was cheating, so I got a 0 on the exam. I’ve been stressed out this whole week, so has anyone heard of U-M revoking admissions and for what? Also, any advice on how to deal with this situation will be greatly appreciated.
Yes, that happens. At the engineering admitted student visit last year, they said there were around 50 admitted students rescinded each year. Not sure that is for engineering alone or the whole university. With one F, you are really at the high risk. If that grade is final and will appear on your transcript, you should contact the admission office to explain the situation ahead of time. You probably should make a back up plan too.
Don’t lose hope. I suggest you try to make it up, perhaps by discussing the situation with your teachers and see what you can do to make it up. As for the suggestion @billcsho stated, I totally agree with him/her, in the notion that you should make a back up plan (If you have not done so already.) If worst comes to worst, you are put on academic probation in your freshman year at Michigan. Best of Luck. We’re all rooting for you!
