Has anyone heard of the ISOPO online science fair?

Apparently it’s a new thing that’s been started this year. It seems to be some sort of online science fair (http://isopo.org/) where you submit a video online to judges. I would do it but it’s asking for a $35 application fee, so I’m not sure if this is legit and whether it would be prestigious to place in a competition like this for my college app (I’m a junior aiming for MIT, Caltech, etc).

I’m seriously doubt that this so-called “ISOPO Olympiad” is “prestigious… for my (your) college app.”

I’d rather spend $35 on movie & pop corn & soda…

Considering that there isn’t any announcement of the 2017 winners on their website, I wouldn’t waste any money on it.

@My3Kiddos It says this is their first year. The reason I’m even considering it is because it looks like it’s run by the organization behind I-SWEEEP (a somewhat prestigious international science fair last year that I attended and placed at). (http://isweeep.org/)

@esperantist - Take a look at this page: http://isopo.org/deadlines/ They all say 2017. Either they tried to launch this last year (looks like unsuccessfully) or they don’t know how to manage their website. Neither is a good sign!

@My3Kiddos that’s a great point. I didn’t notice that. I’ll save my money.
