Has anyone heard..?

fgnichols is right, ooohnelle, please reconsider! JCs might be "easier" (some classes are, some aren't) but carrying 7 classes and keeping up your GPA to a transferable level in addition to work/internships . . . well. "What the hell was I thinking?" sounds about right.

nobody's appeals worked? :(

I guess this is the last of me spending my life on the USC forum! I feel like I half know you guys from just reading this all the time. I hope you guys all have fun at usc :o

well i visited SD and i didn't really like it.. i have a feeling that i might regret it if i go because i'll be stuck.. and if i decide to switch out of bio, i want to be in a more wellrounded university and i want to be in la for fashion design and theatre. i've dont a looot of research and have decided that this is better. it's only one year and there are also other reasons that i am deciding to go to JC. if you think i shouldnt do this, feel free to post. i also don't want to be making a mistake and passing up UCSD, although i've already weighed out the pros and cons of going. thanks =)

I won my appeal! Well, sorta. They'll hold a slot for me for Jan'07 (2nd semester). I seriously considered it but decided I didn't want to miss out on the first semester of making new friends so I'm headed to UCLA. Not a shabby alternative.

As for you, ooohnelle, a JC is NOT a bad way to go. Just be sure to go to one that has an agreement with USC. You probably have a better chance of getting into USC as a transfer student (yes, from a JC) than as a freshman. But you have to take the right classes and get the right grades. Start looking around or call USC to get a list of JCs that they have relationships with. Are from California?

yep. i've already done all of that, but my parents (being Chinese as they are) already see me as a complete failure because i'm considering JC. well.. it's only for one year. i'm pretty sure i can handle it and that i have a good chance.. i just don't want to miss out on SD, but that's not where my heart is. anyone else? i have so much to think about!!
