Has anyone just said no to kids choice?

I don't really know what Oregon is like. My best friend visits there each summer and she just raves about it all the time so I'm sure there are good things about it. I might come up for a visit this summer, just to see what it's really like.

Be careful. We have friends whose daughter went to U. of Oregon (Eugene is only 30-40 miles from Corvallis); loved it from a summer visit - which turns out to be when the weather is gorgeous and spectacular. She found that for a good portion of the school year, it's regularly overcast, lots of rain, drizzle, etc. - so a summer visit may NOT necessarily duplicate what you'd get in the school year with regards to climate.

Thanks for the advice, everyone.

I think I will talk to my counselor first to see what kind of options I have. I never really thought of putting only my mother's salary in my FAFSA. I hope I can do that because then I KNOW that I'll qualify for some aid.

avwh: Weather isn't a big deal to me. I mean, I personally love rain. What means more to me, I guess, is the social environment. But as gcards assured me, people are great over there. :)
