People here think the word "ill" is synonymous with "cool."

Canadians. Pfft.

Preggo is fun to say.

^ I will agree, I think that "preggo" is fun to say. I say it jokingly sometimes.

I have a friend who says preggers, but I think she's the only one.

I really wonder what the appeal is in shortening words. I never got a straight answer to that question when asking people in my school.

I type def all the time because I can't ever seem to remember how to spell definitely. lol

Oh, today someone said that the tie my AP Calc teacher was wearing was "presh" (as in precious). Its the same girl as "ano" and "sketch." I hate her.

Ana is a normal work to use for anorexic (pro-ana websites). It's about the same as saying DNA.

What is pro- short for (pro-ana for ex.)?

Oh I also use ex for example, but I don't say it.

I also say prolley instead of probably, but that's just a hick thing.

^she doesn't say "ana." She says "an*o*" in a joking manner...

Pro? Good question...

I can't see a teacher's tie as being precious, lol.

I haven't heard shortened words at all this week, a first, because everyone is away. Next week those words will be back full force, I bet, once school re-starts.

my best friend says "presh" or "presh magesh" all the time. ahhaha. but whatever... i love shortened words, they're hilarious.

I want to go up to one of the English teachers and see how they react to the use of shortened words. I know my English teacher would be appalled and think it's the end of the world (she had a whole speech the other day on how political correct language is not grammatically correct). I don't know how the other English teachers would act, though. They seem more into literature than grammar...

"Omg, your class was deff awesome!"

"Pro-" isn't short for anything.

"Pro" can be short for "professional," but that's not what you mean.

There's probably a really weird explanation for "pro".

I don't think there is. It's just an interesting prefix.

wanna hang out tom?
def.
what about tn?
prob not.

ROCKERMCR WHAT HAPPENED TO LEET??? (1337)

I heard another one:

Details becomes "dets". Ugh.

Pizza becomes "pizz" (pronounced peez)

Lol! That one is odd.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but "probs" is another one, shortened from probably.
