I didn't from USC, but I did from Northwestern.

WOW - I didn't know that students receive thank-yous from tour guides, my D was compelled to send a thank you note TO her Davidson tour guide, who took a Saturday from his full pre-med schedule to offer "one-on-one" service at the same time he handled a group of about 20 or so. It was his first tour, but he acted like he had been doing it forever!

My D didn't get any handwritten Thank-you cards from the prestigious LACs in the NE, but got several from the LACs in the midwest that she visited. Interesting, my D didn't get one from Grinnell, although our tour guide there was totally amazing. She also got "thank-you" cards from 2 Admissions Counselor w whom she interviewed in the midwestern LACs, & a phone call "post-visit" follow-up We were very impressed, and my D appreciated the personal contact & effort made by some of the schools after we had visited.

WUSTL tour guides routinely send postcards, I believe.

Last year, my D received notes from her interviewer at WUSTL and tour guides at Bryn Mawr, and Mt. Holyoke.

My D got one from her Marshall U tour guide, which was personalized with info relating to D's questions during the tour. As we were leaving the welcome center, I noticed the guide sitting down at a table with a box of notecards, so I guess this was a very nice SOP.

No tour guide notes here and did not expect any. I frankly do not remember even having a tour sign up sheet where they would get a name and address.

He did get one from one admin rep who interviewed him.

My S received a tour guide note from Franklin and Marshall. Only one.
