Has anyone received the Stamps Scholarship yet?

I'm just curious, since no one has really mentioned it. They've already been sent out, right? Not "added on" later like the few Mork scholarships last year?

Does this mean that no one has received it yet? Or just that no one has a clue?

S2 received the Stamps Leadership Scholarship award notice in today’s mail. He was a Trustee Scholarship recipient earlier, which is now converted to the Stamps. The Stamps adds a $5,000 enrichment fund to all the benefits of the Trustee’s Scholarship. Looks like he’s going to be a Trojan! Fight On!

Wow!!! Awesome Job!!!

The Stamps Family Charitable Foundation just recently donated the funds to create the new scholarships. This is the first year they have been awarded. The recipients will be called the Stamps Leadership Scholars, according to a recent USC alumni newsletter.

Perhaps we will be hearing from more scholars later this week. Keep in mind only a relatively small number of entering freshmen are posters on this board.

Supposedly USC will award Stamps Scholarships to 10 students this year. We are extraordinarliy grateful to receive one. It tipped the scales to USC from many great options:

Stanford (no aid)
Santa Clara (Presidential)
Holy Cross (full-tuition)
UC Berkeley (no aid)
UCLA (no aid)
Pomona (no aid)

9help9, major congratulations to your son!

Thank you, racedad and Phuynh94. I’ll pass that along to son.

I just got a letter today saying that my trustee scholarship has been converted to a stamps leadership scholarship… There isn’t very much information on it online… do I get the $5000 grant each year or is it just for my freshman year?

Sunny,
The $5,000 dollar stipend is given EACH year. You are expected to take the normal 16 units per semester.

When the time comes on your resume you will be able to include “Stamps Leadership Scholar”. You are one of the first 10 ever to be awarded this honor at USC.

Warm congratulations!
