Has anyone taken the ACT cold or barely studied and got a really good score?

could i say "meh" to you a little louder ephemeral =.=""

The truth is that the timing on the math and science sections is the most difficult part of the test. Practicing pace on those is really the key.

I've never seen the test and how it's formatted, therefore I've never taken a practice test, and I just took it.

Think I got:

6-7 wrong math
3-4 wrong writing
6-8 wrong reading
good-great essay
4-6 wrong science

score?

@JakeM, I'm using the maximum number of questions you got wrong and my Kaplan conversion chart (so this is the lowest score if you accurately predicted how many you got wrong.)

32E, 30M, 26R, 28S. Composite: 29.

29's pretty solid and i didn't do a thing for the test so..

i took it cold, and have no clue how i did

wth?
so pretty much all of you didn't study and got a 33
yeah ok.

I agree with heyli, I'm sure that people took at least some prep. They might read over what the ACT is, the type of questions, maybe even answer a few questions, take a practice test, feel that they didn't do enough, and consider it barely studying since they felt that they could have done more.

^ That's pretty much what I did. I looked over the math and English questions and did a couple of science and reading questions. That was about it (I didn't torture myself studying for hours and hours at a time.)

my first time I got a 33 cold. I had just gotten back from England a couple days before and had the worst cold I've ever had(didn't know they could get that bad...) probably just a fluke from being sick, but i decided to take it again while i'm healthy haha

I took the ACT (for the second time) the day after my math final...i dont know if studying for that counts as preparing...but i didn't study for the ACT at all, and I got a 34

The first time I took it i went over the PR book. I took it during the hell week for our musical as part of the MME and got a 31

I signed up for the June ACT out of peer pressure, and ending up getting a 34 without prep.

My friend didn't study and pulled a 32

got a 34/2340 cold 1st try watevaaa

I didn't study and got a 31. I'm retaking though after I study.

i showed up and somehow got a 33; i'm attributing it to the vanilla latte i drank that morning!

I was gonna study alot but ended up procrastinating. I did a few practice questions and read format of each section, which helped alot since I didn't have to waste any time understanding the directions during the actual test. I got a 33.

I got a 32 with almost no studying. I think I took half a practice Science section.

took it cold and got a 29

i didn't know how to tackle the science portion :(

I took it cold and got a 34. Caffeine pills and a nice mechanical pencil is enough for me.
