When I log into my application status page, it says that mine has not yet been received. I know that it says:

"PLEASE NOTE: We do not begin downloading FAFSAs until late February."

But isn't it late February by now?? I mean, its March in less than three days!

So, is YOUR fafsa downloaded yet?

Thanks :)

Nope. They’re pretty stacked this year with apps though, so I’m not surprised. They delayed releasing our admission application tracking info by a few days.

No. They haven’t registered my midyears either…

No midyears either. Do they register on that tracking site, anyone got them up?

Yep. Just got checked off today.

But they’re still missing my teacher B rec, although my teacher faxed it in again.

where can you tell whether they have your midyear or not?

I don’t see any message telling whether they do or do not have it in…

thanks! :)

They processed my FAFSA yesterday. I’m hoping they’ll just email you or something if they don’t have your Midyear because it doesn’t seem to be on the online list.

I called about the midyear report and they said it, sort of halfheartedly, no they didn’t see it either and maybe to fax it. But you’re right, I don’t see it on any list online. That’'s why I’ve been asking if other people DO have it on their lists. Oh well, will talk to guidance on Monday.

Has anyone had their tax forms processed? I sent mine in Feb 23. with delivery confirmation and still it says not received!

Same. I sent mine in around Feb 15, and it still says “not received.” They’re probably still a little behind or something, I wouldn’t worry away. They might not even have started processing them yet.

the same for my D… tax 2008 + proof of citizenship are still " not received" even though i sent those items 3 times by mail, by fax, by fedex!

yeaaa, my tax forms were sent in 3 weeks ago and it’s still not received…I’ve been trying to fax it to them, but their fax machine is ALWAYS busy.

I’m pretty sure they’re just behind in processing… If they’ve downloaded your FAFSA already, they have enough to start a file on you I guess. And its not like they’ll deny you financial aid because your packet was received a few days late.

I sent in my FAFSA around February 16, and they just recently put it up as received. I faxed the tax returns and other forms on March 2nd (the due date) and checked today, and they have received it. PS: the fax number on the site isn’t the right one, apparently.

what is the real fax number?? Thanks

212-854-8223.
It works.

^ but in that financial aid email they sent us, they said all financial materials should be faxed to 212-854-5353…so is that number wrong too? well no wonder it didn’t work.

LaVieEnChocolat: what student tax non-filer form??? there was a Columbia specific form we had to file out if I didn’t file taxes? oh geez. I’ve been all over the financial aid site, but must’ve missed that…could you give a link? thx

Yummycheese: i don’t know why some schools( and not others) are asking for that form but i believe it has something to do with the IDOC package…
" A non-tax filer form" will be required for anyone( student, not parent) not filling a tax return for 2008. the non-tax filer form can be downlaoded from our website at www.studentaffairs.columbia.edu/finaid" . Please submit by March 2nd,09!!! fax : 2128545353… this is the message on my D’s checklist… if the fax is not working try that one: 2128548223! i’m going this morning to fax it, already 3 days late… good luck!

UGH. this whole faxing thing is driving me up the wall. The 854-8223 number keeps saying FAX FAILED. then the 854-5353 number has “NO ANSWER”

i give up.

Thanks for all the help LaVieEnChocolat
