Also, me and one of my friends at school applied to Yale 12/30-12/31. I received an interview invitation on Sunday night (Jan 4th) and he received his yesterday (Jan 6th). We both go to the same highschool and live near each other.

So don't despair if your friend gets one before you. It just works out that way sometimes.

i live in CA and have still received NOTHING- NO LETTER, ELI ACCT., NOTHING. Is this cause to be worried since i see that some internationals have already gotten theirs?

Okay, this is how it works.
Your app is gotten and then sent to the admin rep in your area. He then sorts it out.
Different reps do different things, so do not worry at all.
You can expect this because it is regular decision.
This is the RD stress, lol. We would laugh over it come April.

hookem--I seriously doubt your friend's alumni status is why he got an interview. The local volunteer would have to know about it for it to make a difference. The university does not tell the local interview coordinators to give priority to legacy candidates or anything like that. The local coordinator would have to independently know about the legacy status because Yale wouldn't inform him orher.

My son just got contacted by his interviewer yesterday! Hope you will hear soon, goldenrationphi. Probably good to call if you don't hear by next week.

If you think about it, not many people would have applied from Oceania (100 at most?), and therefore we got our accounts early. Don't stress everyone.
