I’m reading rumors of 70K but am curious if that is accurate, especially since there are also rumors that the admissions office is working overtime to get through them all due to not being prepared for so many. Or will they not reveal those numbers until after May 1?
They may mention it during the Campus Day. Otherwise, they release the numbers on 4/15 last year. Perhaps we will see that within the next 2-3 weeks.
According to admissions it’s 70,000.
I believe they told us it was 65,000 at campus day. Just checked my notes. It was a little vague as to whether that was last year or this year.
Sound huge, but we were told UCLA was over 100,000.
^^^^is that so surprising? UCLA is a popular school in a state with almost 4 times as many people as Michigan. Furthermore, it is relatively easy to apply to for instate students. Just a simple check and students can apply to multiple UC schools.
I remember the number I was told 4 years ago at the Campus Day was a bit off from the later official report. It was right below 60,000 last year, so that number is not from last year. It is not likely to be 65,000 this year unless there are less RD application than last year as the EA already has over 38000, around 6000 more than last year.
