Hello everyone, I am a junior in high school and I have been reviewing my grades and I became rather dismayed with my final results. Typically I am a A/B student who had high hopes for college and the future. I hoped to major in psychology and eventually get my medical degree to become a psychiatrist. My GPA has suffered greatly due to my junior year, as I ended up with a 3.4 UW. I know junior year is the most important, but I went through several hard times(I know this is not a valid excuse), and I just forgot my studies. My college choices of Bucknell and Haverford were shattered, so I have decided to look for some new colleges, but my dad tells me it is rather useless at this point. Here are my complete stats:

Freshman Year: No Ap or Honors courses offered, GPA:3.66
Sophmore Year: No AP or Honors courses offered, GPA: 3.66
Junior Year: 2 AP Courses: GPA: 3.4 UW, 3.52 W(I believe)
Senior Year: I aim to take 6 AP courses, and retake a course I did poorly in my junior year.

EC's: National Honor Society Member, 200+ volunteer hours at local hospital, 200+volunteer hours at local Nursing Home, 7 month job experience, Member of Latin Club(2 years), member of Key Club (3 years), and member of Junior/Senior Historians(3 years)

SAT's/ACT's: My first SAT was 1990, but I have recently retaken it and hopefully will receive a score above 2000. I took a PSAT score and received 2070. I do not know the exact values of each section. I also plan to retake my SAT in October(To see if I can get any better with studying) I also plan to take the ACT and have a projected score of 28-30.

Other notes: I do not know my class rank as we do not tally it in our school, but I believe I am in the top 25%. I also have several teachers willing to write me letters of recommendation, and excel at writing so I plan to write a decent essay. I am not aware if it matters, but I took the AP tests for both AP classes I had junior year and plan on receiving a 5 on each as I did so with practice exams.

Colleges I am considering: Xavier, University of Dayton, Duquesne University, CalU of PA, Gettysburg University, Gannon, Washington and Jefferson, and Clarion.

I apologize for the length and congestion of my post, but I have two questions: Will my low GPA junior year completely destory my chances at an above average college? My second question is, is there anything that I can do at this point to help myself besides do extremely well my senior year? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated at this point as both my family and I are completely distraught over the entire issue.
