<p>Well, I have tried Grammatix, read the tens of thousands of threads about Critical Reading, read many many review books, but there has not been one method that has genuinely worked for me. When I try a method, I get most right, but come next CR passage, I get half of them wrong. Why does it fluctuate so much? Can anyone relate?...</p>
<p>Happens a lot to me. Sometimes I'll get all the CR in a section right, other times I'll randomly miss 4 in a row :| I try not to get too worked up about it though :)</p>

<p>What helps is just read a few lines at a time and check questions as you go.</p>
<p>Or what I do is read each paragraph, underline and out to the side explain to myself what it means in a few words, then answer the questions pertaining to the paragraph.</p>
