^Quite possible.
(I doubt this will happen, but…) if the trend continues, hurray us?

^ Well there is that bad publicity from the DKE scandal.

it’s Annie Le

^^
oh, Yale… always getting bad publicity come application time.

What’s DKE? Is that the thing with the frats? I thought that happened after the SCEA deadline…

[The Yale Herald Blog Archive DKE chant stirs campus controversy](yaleherald.com)

i hope the dke incident had an effect. lol.

^lol me too.

It’ll turn out those guys WERE good for something, after all!

the numbers will be in tomorrow’s paper. get excited, kids. ;)

thanks, rockermcr!

YDN says that the numbers held steady - almost exactly so.

[Early apps constant over last year | Yale Daily News](http://www.yaledailynews.com/news/2010/nov/16/early-apps-constant-over-last-year/)

“Dean of Admissions Jeffrey Brenzel said Yale has 5,257 early applicants this year — four fewer than the 5,261 students who applied early last year — vying for about 750 spots.”

I can’t believe the number stayed contest, even after every other college in the country saw an increase in apps. So it looks like we’ll have a 14.3% admit rate for SCEA this year!

I think this means more applicants to regular. Oh my. Then probably more applicants early next year. Hmm…

Stanford REA-ers must be worried :(

good news… :)

hallelujah! i thank the gods and sexist fratmen everywhere ! :)

Does Yale always accept about 750 students SCEA?

They accept between 700-750

So, how did you get that statistic of 14.3? Like, it’s not the actual statistic, is it?

I think they’ll accept a few more this year. I have a feeling that generally the yield will decrease in most places (not a huge decrease though). What do you guys think? People are applying to more places, so surely they will need to accept more to ensure that a good size matriculates?
