hate to sound like a jerk....

but this winter is great...is it just me or is global warming a blessing in disguise? i know it wont be great in the future, but its really nice now....no snow november....just a little ounce december so far....thank the lord....i love the cold, but i hate the snow...high school life w/o snowdays may stink though

global warming is nice now. just a little warmer, less snow. great! But when the ice caps start melting, sea levels rise, and our coastlines are underwater...not so good.

are you serious??? this winter has been so cold so far! starting in september there have been about 5 warm days. this year is setting record low temperatures in my area! I hate it!

logs, you're crazy.

snow > all else

i don't claim to an expert of any kind on global warming, but global warming isn't necessarily supposed to entail a literal "warming." as a whole, it's when temperature rise, yes. but globally, effects range from extended droughts/heat waves, to deadly blizzards. it all depends on where you live and its interaction with the gulf stream.

correct me if i'm wrong, which is pretty likely.

we had 80 degree days until last week :)

Global Warming is definitely not good.

I live in New York, and like mollypockets, we've had insanely nice weather until last week, too. It's never been this nice in December, and it hasn't even started snowing yet... No snow day?!?!? I can't live with that.

I say we make the switch to compressed hydrogen fuel cells for our cars and still have the gasoline option available. Except the only caveat is that the gasoline users have to pay a 50% tax on the amount of the gas purchase. They emit junk out of their tailpipe, they clean it up. I'm not paying to clean up someone's mess. If compressed hydrogen was widely available, I would ABSOLUTELY switch. Thank GM for global warming and urban sprawl.

I personally plan to live in Manhattan in about 10-15 years or in the near future, and I'd HATE to see such a great city like New York go underwater because of California's gas emissions.

yea everyone loves school....screw snow days!

u must be out of ur mind

Man, I don't know about you guys, but it's been pretty cold in SD.

really I could use some global warming right now!

(disclaimer: not intended seriously, and not meant to offend, I'm just really, really cold right now!)

Global warming means that the entire earth is getting warmer... I'm glad your region is warmer this year, but that doesn't mean everyone's is. For one, I'm in Arizona, and it's getting cold (~20 degrees Fahrenheit at night) lately. :p

illinois has messed up weather no matter what time of year it is, regardless of global warming. we had weather into the seventies until thanksgiving weekend and the next week we had a snow day. but it's always like that here... :/

err. it was 20 degrees yesterday and we have about 2 feet of snow. it's going to be 14 degrees in chicago tomorrow, and i have a model un conference in the city! it sucks. :(

It's been a lot hotter here this year (Hawaii). Normally it gets cooler around October or November but that hasn't happened this year yet. I remember when I was younger I use to always wear sweaters during the winter months (We don't really have winter though....haha) but now I almost never do that...it's definitely a lot warmer around here t_t

lol, have fun in chicago! even if they say 14 degrees chicago always feels a LOT colder!

Yeah...im originally from California and i'm currently living in Iowa and its soooo freaking cold right now I hate it... I walked outside and it was like 10 degrees...thats not cool...I'd be ok with the cold if it was snowing a LOT becuase LOTS of snow means snow days but this is just ridicuoulous...and as for global warming...lets not have that because I REALLY want a place to go home to I dont want Cali to be under water...that would really suck.

I live in NYC as well and it was warm for a while but now it is pretty cold :( Global warming is horrible :(

The abnormally cold or warm temperture you are feeling this year compared with last year or earlier is not global warming occuring; global warming is occuring too slowly for you to "feel" the difference.

its been FREEZING in California! I don't know what you all are talking about
