Have a Difficult Time Finding Scholarships

I've been searching for scholarships today and haven't been able to find that many that I'm eligible for or don't have an expired deadline. (I've been looking for scholarships off and on since last year and didn't have much luck any of the other times, either. ) Also, majority of the scholarships that I've been able to find are either for high school seniors, college juniors, or require me to submit an essay. So, I was wondering if anyone knew of any scholarships that are still receiving applications that I may be able to apply for. I'd prefer scholarships that also don't require me to write any essays, as I really don't have a knack for it.

Here's some info me to help narrow down what scholarships I may be eligible for:

*Current full-time student at a local community college
*Am a college sophomore
*Have a 3.9 QPA
*Am a female
*Am financially disadvantaged
*Am a Pennsylvania resident
*College major is math & sciences right now, but I'm hoping to switch over to natural sciences and/or environmental studies after I transfer next spring.
*Am interested in environmental conservation
*Live in a rural small town.
*Am 23 years old
*Am a member of Phi Theta Kappa <--- Don't know how much weight that would carry, as I'm not active in it anymore.

If anymore more info is needed, please let me know!

Thanks for any help in advance. I appreciate it. :)

did u check out fastweb.com?

maybe your community college financial aid office would have a list.

Yeah, I've checked at fastweb.com before. Not much there, except for a few that require essays. But I'm not totally against writing essays for scholarships. I'll do it if I seriously need to. I'd just prefer not to. lol :)

Hmm. Haven't checked at the fin aid office lately, but maybe I shall on Monday.

Thanks! :D

essays make up a good majority of scholarships out there...its one of the only ways they can distinguish between you and another student

^ Ditto. If you're not willing to write an essay, why do you deserve getting the scholarship? Besides, look at it as an investment for your time. If it takes you two hours to write, and you can get $500, then that's just $250/hr! Not entirely logical, but anything to motivate yourself.
