Have any Fall 2014 transfers gotten a decision yet?

Yes, thank you! Fingers crossed. Binghamton is my second choice (Stony Brook is my first but I haven’t heard back from them yet). But it definitely isn’t a rejection. Unfortunately I’m taking engineering and science classes so getting a recommendation letter will be difficult. I should have all my professor’s signatures by Thursday night so I will fax the report Friday!

Any news anyone? Still nothing for my son.

I also think that means you are accepted, so congratulations! Still cannot log in for my son though. When was your transfer application complete?

Just submitted my midterm grade report, 5As  hopefully I’ll get a decision soon

I hope you get good news soon!

I haven’t checked online because frankly, Binghamton is not even close to my top choice for transfer schools. I got the acceptance package in the mail today, though. Yay… Anyway, my application and materials were all there by mid-February.

I finished applying at the beginning of January and got an acceptance letter from Binghamton in the end of February. I hope you all can get in!!!

I’m still waiting for my decision and I’m soo nervous! These are my stats:

SUNY Potsdam
3.5 GPA
75 credits
Transferring from Crane School of Music as a Music/Politics major
Was in Honors program at Potsdam
Rec letter from Head of Music Dept at Bing who was my private clarinet teacher in HS
Submitted optional supplement with extra curriculars from Potsdam and an essay

Think I’ll be okay?

You have a very good chance to get in. Your grades are very good, honors program, EC and all. Of course we know that there are more applicants than space available, but you certainly have the qualifications…Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much! Man, I hate the waiting. Just today I got an email from buadmit which I thought would be my decision but just a review of how much it costs to attend/how great the school is/facts and figures. I just want to know!

Same here for my son! Shouldn’t be much longer now? Good luck!

Best of luck to your son too :)

In the same situation as you guys, waiting on my decision. Also sent in my midterm grade report on the 14th… Best of luck!

Still waiting, waiting, waiting, for a decision for my transfer son! Hoping maybe today? Thinking he may apply somewhere else this weekend, cause I am getting nervous about this. He cannot stay another semester where he is, so he has to go somewhere in Fall 2014.

Since my post about my son being accepted as a Binghamton Advantage Student (which he will NOT consider), his status checker now just says ‘Decision made’ with nothing where the ‘Bing Advantage’ originally had been.

He was expecting an Accepted, Waitlisted, Rejected posting after being deferred, and was feeling quite deflated after reading about the Bing Advantage program.

We’ll wait for the official letter, but it is looking more and more like either Stonybrook or Albany!

Uhhohh…SBU or UA…two good schools! Have you visited and what is his intended major?

I haven’t heard back from Binghamton or Stony Brook either, the anticipation is driving me crazy!

Where on the status checker will it say “decision made”?

I think on the line that says application data? Not sure though?

ddotjon, we’ve visited UA and will be visiting SBU shortly. He wasn’t expecting to, but really did like the feel of UA. It was either Bing or Stonybrook, and now Bing seems like it might be out of the picture. Biology!
