My unweighted looks like it will be a 3.85 unweighted... But class rank is still top 1%. 'B's in AP Chem and AP Euro.

of course you can get in. i believe my bro had lower than that

^
What if I’m Asian?

Mine is about that and I applied. :D

It really depends on your school. My school is very competitive (~40 students w/ 2300+ on the SAT) and high GPAs are hard to come by. The average accepted GPA for many competitive schools (Harvard included) for students from my school is in the low 3.8s. I myself have a upper 3.8 GPA (2400 SAT) while some of my friends at other schools have 4.935 weighted GPAs but 1950 SATs!!! If you go to a challenging school and you took rigorous classes you should be fine.

Even for the Ivies, its not all about numbers. If the rest of your application stands out and is really good you might have a chance, but it is just impossible to predict this with an acceptance rate of 6%

I got in with about a 3.7 (or whatever a 90 computes to in GPA speak). It’s very possible, even coming from a crappies school like mine.

GPA really doesn’t matter much out of context. You could go to a really rigorous prep school where no one has over a 3.9 unweighted. That’s why class rank is more important, and since you’re top 1%, you don’t have any reason to worry as long as you’ve challenged yourself.

oh forgot to add, my bro’s asian xD

according to some people ive talked with, harvard doesnt really weigh GPA that high. as long as your other credentials are good you should be fine

That’s good news.
