Have any of you seen the show Ivy Dreams?

Watched this like a couple months ago… kinda wish Mike got into Columbia just because, haha

I remember one of the seniors’ schedules had “AP Logic” on it. I was like AP logic? tf is that?

i hated sophie. obviously she was not getting into an ivy. and then she complains and throws on the floor ON THE FLOOR a free ride from washington and lee?? um that is a great school

and that annoying way she read the letter. wasn’t she arrested for drugs? i know she probably wasn’t high during the filming, but she totally seemed high.

I saw it and loved it! Someone needs to make a new one!

Their schedules weren’t incredibly difficult.

I think Sophie did get in trouble.

For those people who say NHS is a weak essay topic, its all about how you write it. This guy I know wrote an essay on the math club got into Colombia LOL

AP Calc AB in 12 grade is not up to par for Ivy league.

^ depends on your conditions

well, michelle got into dartmouth, soooo

^ as a general thing, because so many kids take calc bc or higher Senor year.

Our college counselor showed this to us for the interview part, and she paused at Sophie’s and just sighed. When it ended she said “now you know what not to do”. Hahaha

and wcao9311, I don’t know where you’re getting your info, but that’s ridiculous. Plenty of kids from my school who took AP Calc AB got into Ivies, even one to Harvard. It’s not like AB is this super duper easy class, it’s only different from BC by a semester. And at our school math only goes up to Calc BC and then an unweighted ‘Advanced Calculus’ class. Plus not everyone has math as their forte and their app could stand out in plenty of other ways. I could go on and on but yeah.

Oh, I’ve seen this.

Felt bad about the poor jock who got like a 1300 on his SAT and forgot to take his SAT II’s.

They had it easy back when that show aired. I think that it gets increasingly difficult to get into top colleges as time progresses (population inflation!) Lol

lol i was watching this video for inspiration and mike says he got a 1400; however, when i paused the video
he had a 390, 510 and 450 which comes out to a 1350…fker

This reminds me so much of my school…

honestly, the “pressure” the kids received is pretty normal… (in fact, the pressure should have come from themselves, not their parents…)
i love this show! wish they made it longer.

I just wish that the producers of the show would make another one for next school year! i loved watching this show and it made me really motivated for school this year (where did all that motivation go?). It also helped me to understand the college application process a little better. If only TV were more helpful with shows like this…

Does anybody have insight into what these people are doing in life now?

Where did find that info @Dchang11‌
