They should make one with all you juniors lol

^Thatās a great idea!

Damn, I just watched this and their schedules are nothing compared to half of the stuff I see posted here, lmao.

I felt so badly for the girl who got a 760 on both of her SAT IIs and then her dad was like āEhā¦ you could rav got duh 8 hrundredā.

That kid Mike should have just died. Yea, I got a 1400 both times and still expected to get in to Columbia. Oh yea, I also didnāt FINISH THE APPLICATION.

I looked it up on youtube and the segments were only about 5 minutes long. Was this show a series or a one-time thing?

I think it was only an hour long documentary, but Iām not completely sure.

Mike graduated from West Chester and currently works in Dance Choregraphy. I know people who go to West Chester and know Mike.

What ever happened to the thread, Ivy Dreams-CC Edition?

When they were telling their Subject test scores, I was like āyeah, their dreams aināt comin trueā

Well, it was filmed in 2005, so itās a bit outdated.

I wanna see a new series. I watched it this morning around 4 believe it or not. I donāt know why or how i came across this show though.

This show pops up as a suggested if you are watching other ivy-related videos. I am glad I chanced upon it because I really liked the show and could relate. Mike seemed like a really nice guy and I admire what he did for his family.

Some of the stuff was cringe worthy, for example showing up late to an interview, the Penn interview (forget the girls name), or using āstreet-smartsā in an essay.

I know there is a āCC Ivy Dreams 2013ā going onā¦

I really wish they would do a follow up documentary on some of these people.

Sophie is the perfect example of what not to do (attitude-wise). I mean come on, writing about National Honor Society in your essay? Thats literally the most boring topic ever.

They made us watch this in health!

yeah I watched it. It made me sad that these kids have so much pressure. Itās like getting into a top university defines their identity.

@notatigercub

Mikeās last name is Nguyen.

Hereās a follow up on the four students -
Sophie ended up going to John Hopkins for graduate school and studied in Nanjing for a brief time.
Mike graduated from West Chester University and currently works in dance choreography. A friend of mine went to college with him.
Michelle graduated with a BA in Government and East Asian Studies and works in Philadelphia.
Diana majored in Statistics and works in New York.

Just watched it today, my god was I surprised. O M Geezez. Iām asian and Iām freaked out by Sophieās parents.
