have any previous UF transfers changed majors?

<p>Is there anyone out there who transferred into UF and successfully changed majors (another college)? please share?</p>

<p>(I want to know if its possible under any circumstance, I tried emailing a couple different people and no response ever arrived, (general advising, and engineering advisor)..only option left is to call or visit in person...I will be visiting in person very soon)</p>

<p>I applied for transfer for mathematics (liberal arts+science) and was admitted/ and desire to change to Mech,civil, or nuclear engineering...Is it looking GRIM for me? ( i meet all but 1 of the 8 pre-req....and engineering department has stated that only 6 is needed for admission)</p>

<p>BUT WILL THEY LET ME APPLY?</p>

<p>(reason for change is fear of not finding work..)</p>

<p>FINALLY someone decent in the advising emailed me back, i found out it is possible, but difficult and i must have an amazing explanation…PLUS i still would have to be accepted after being allowed to apply. =|</p>

<p>I think if it’s related somehow and not something that would take some more years to complete, then its ok. So you going from math to engineering seems ok, but you would probably run into trouble if it was english/nutrition/anthropology to engineering since they would be so far behind in the req classes.</p>
