Have any transfer applicants received decisions?

I just got my acceptance letter from University of Minnesota today. How are all of you guys looking at your application status? I was never sent an email on how to view it, and I have only received my acceptance via mail. I want to find out what my predicted possible financial is, and maybe I can find it out at the same place…

Golly - try this link. [Application Tracker](Application Tracker | Office of Admissions)

Your ID # should have been on the bottom of one of the letter you received.

I did that, and I used the ID # at the bottom of the page, but I don’t see anything about financial aid status or anything. Does University of Minnesota have an application for scholarships? Do they even offer scholarships for transfer students? Thanks.

kscheema78, I’m going to be a sophomore transfer. I received my letter a few weeks ago after about a month of absolute chaos with all my admission documents. They lost my transcripts, claimed it was my fault, etc, and I had to call everyday for weeks to sort it all out, but it all worked out and I’m in!

And Gollywhopper, I’m pretty sure you won’t know your financial aid status until you submit FAFSA. That’s what I’m still waiting on  I too, though, would like to know about transfer scholarships. On their website it says, “Scholarships for transfer students are handled by the student’s college or department. For details, you should contact your college of interest.” Which doesn’t sound very promising at all…

Hmm, perhaps they are still processing my FAFSA… I submitted it the beginning of January though… And yeah :(, that doesn’t sound very good, unfortunately. I’m sorry you had to go through so much trouble though, but yay on getting in :)!

Priority always goes to incoming freshman for things like housing and financial aid.

For transfer students the priority deadline I believe is in Mid-May, just like returning students. So you won’t get a financial aid letter untill some time later in the summer. If anything, it will be similar to what you got at your previous college.

I’m also going to be a sophomore transfer to the UofM so if you want to make a quick friend let message me. :)

WriterGirlX, I had the same problem with my college transcript. It might’ve gotten lost in the mail, so I resent it on a Thursday and it was there the next Monday. On April 11,though t was forwarded to the 2 colleges that I applied to, CLA and Education and Human Development. How long did it take you to get back a decision once it was “under review?”

kscheema78, did you ever get an update about whether you’re in or not?
And GoGopherGo, I sent you a message I think, not sure if you replied!
