Have colleges (Ivies) been known to ask for 3RD QUARTER grades?

Some of my friends who applied to state schools as borderline applicants were asked to send in 3rd quarter grades before an official decision was made. I've also heard of waitlisted applicants sending in 3rd quarter progress reports and things like that.

Now, I'm not worried about any state schools or anything. I'm asking because I just might bomb the third quarter... Not bad enough to get rescinded after admission, but possibly bad enough that if these grades somehow played into my admissions decision, my application would be immediately thrown out. LOL.

So, if I end up with 3rd quarter grades of: A A B B B C C (5 APs) => could it come back to me in ANY way? Or can I continue on my carefree path of senioritis?

Would two Cs be acceptable?

I’m somewhat shocked that someone on this site would actually be cool with getting two Cs. Now I’m sure it is ultimately fine, but most people here would post a thread about their admission being rescinded after one B.

Anyway, seeing as most schools send back their decisions by 4/1 at the latest, I highly doubt they’d expect you to send in your third quarter grades with just a few days to spare.

wow, OP, you are REALLY stressed out

Only if you’re the child of a large potential donor and they are trying to find a reason to accept you.
