I chose UChicago over Northwestern, because I liked UChicago's personality better. But now I'm kinda worried that UChicago doesn't get recruited much by ibanks compared to Northwestern after looking at some posts here. Is that true? Thanks.

Don’t worry about it. There are people who would swear UChicago gets recruited more than NU, and there are people who would swear the opposite. Neither school has a huge advantage on the other in terms of ibanking placement.

UChicago is very highly regarded according to someone I spoke to from GS. He told me this after I informed him that I was applying to Vandy and NU so I’d like to think UChicago gets more OCR.

Chicago is on par (if not better) with Northwestern, in terms of IB recruiting. But from the experience of a few friends I have there, it’ll probably be harder to maintain a high gpa at Chicago than at Northwestern.

UChi is a great school and one that certainly get BB IB attention. NU is also a great school that gets a lot of IB attention. At the end of the day, the “fit” aspect told you to go to UChi - so just run with it! Keep your GPA up and enjoy yourself - you’ll be fine for IB.

PM me if you have other questions.

IBanker

Thanks guys! That was really reassuring. It really keeps me up at night when I think about the possibility of ruining my future by choosing the wrong school.
