What do we have to bring to orientation? I know clothes/toothbrush and stuff, but do what do we have to bring for registration? Like an id or what else?

also I signed up for erc 2nd orientation, but I never received any confirmation that I would be attending that one, are we supposed to have anything like that?

also, will there be signs pointing to where we are supposed to register? my brother is dropping me off in the erc parking lot, will I be able to find it from there?

I’m sure there are sandwich signs pointing to where you need to go.

I didn’t receive an ERC confirmation either, but when I called to ask a question, they referred to my orientation date like I had already signed up so I guess it went through; they just never confirmed it.

Anyone have suggestions for what an ERC student should do or bring for the last orientation date? I’ll be moving in early on the 18th.

ucsd is weird about confirming things. I never got a “you’re admitted” email, I just happened to find my welcome letter when I was browsing on their site. Also, do we bring blankets, sheets and pillows for the june orientation?

All freshmen are assigned random registration times within the last week of August, and when your time hits you go online and register for classes.

Orientation simply has workshops that explain what classes to register for.

Ok, this is a really odd question probably, LOL … but when do you take showers? HAHA I’m in ERC and I don’t see anything about showers on the sample schedule! And on the FAQ, it says to bring “a backpack, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket or sweatshirt, toiletries, an alarm clock, bottled water, directions to campus/check-in information, and a good attitude/ready for fun!” … what about towels and extra clothes? haha .__.

sorry, another quick question haha. What exactly do we need during check-in and what do we do during that time? Do we get our room and go there to put away all our belongings?

ucsandiego or anyone else that can help, there is a part of the academic life section of the orientation signup (after you pay) that asks for things like if you plan to take math, chemistry, etc. placement tests and it asks if you’ll take a foreign language. Is it beneficial for me to take those classes or does it matter since I’m going to be an Electrical/Computer Engineer?

lol astrina I’m well aware of taking math courses for my major, the courses in question were those of foreign languages. Since I’m in Warren and it says there are no formal requirements, I’ll just forego taking foreign languages. But I have to take the chem placement test soon. I can take that in July right?
