<p>You also have to remember that transfers have a better chance because there are a lot less transfer applicants, and many of those applicants have a better grasp of their educational situation, most of us won’t apply to school we have little chance of getting into (much unlike freshmen).
I was accepted into the VMA program (media studies) and there is NO way I would have made it into a school like this last year (when I was a senior), I NEEDED that extra year of college to boost my GPA and prove to the college that I was good enough to get in. It also had a lot to do with my personal portfolios (one in writing, one in 2-D design) that got me in. If you were rejected and planning on reapplying, those extra details to your application really make a difference. Congrats to all that got in and good luck to others in whatever you chose to pursue.</p>
