I was originally a design major, because the only thing I like is design, nothing else. However, I have spent one year at a university and its design program really isnt that great. The tuition fee is around 4 grand and, the way I see it, it pretty much teach me how to use software for core courses, something that could be done on your own. Anyway, I dont see the worth in staying; moreover, design field is really competitive and would be hard to find job that can pay back the student loan debt. That is why I decide to change major.

I want to major in Economics, and I have researched online about how good this major is. Overall, according to the internet, reviews are possitive. But when I talk to friends and family, their opinions are mostly negative (they didnt say Econ is terrible but say its hard to find job). This really leaves me hanging, and makes me wonder should I major in Econ, or change to another major like Accounting, since its a guarantee safe bet. What would you guys do ?
