Sorry I'm going through a crisis because I have a B- in my math class and getting an A is theoretically possible, but I would have to get insanely high scores on my final and test this Thursday.

I just need a bit of motivation hahaha

Although I’ve never made below an A on my report card * in High School * I have made a B on progress reports. The lowest I’ve ever made was a low B, or a B-, and I brought it up very easily. Although it was the beginnning of the grading period, it was still easy. My school is on a block schedule, so we change classes every semester, so all of our grading periods count towards our GPA, so it’s harder to maintain an A, I guess, and our grading scale is on a 7 point scale. So an A is a 93-100. It’s not tough, but sometimes I get a 92, or the highest B you can get. Once, in elementary school, I got a 92.99 on my report, which literally is the highest B that you can ever get without an A and my teacher didn’t want to round it up. Oh well, colleges don’t care about anything before high school. (Or sometimes 8th grade.)

Last year (Junior Year of HS) I took AP Physics B. My teacher was honestly useless, he would sing “You don’t know and you don’t care” while we took our tests and would then yell at us for not knowing some of the material. I ended up with an 80 in the first quarter. Second quarter, not much better, 82. Third quarter went down to a 78, so I was pretty stumped as to how to get a B+.

In the 4th quarter, I managed to pull off a bunch of solid 90s on tests and was around an 86. Then, my teacher did something I’ve never seen a teacher do. He offered to give any kid in the class who got above a 90 on the NYS Physics Regents a 100, yes 100, for the quarter grade. I managed to get above that (although marginally lol) and got myself that 100 on the quarter. My letter grade went from a 3rd Quarter 78% to a 4th Quarter 100%!!! Not sure if this qualifies as earned but I went from a C+ to an A+!

Yes! Junior year I was failing Chem for
months, ended the semester with an 80. If I can do that, you can definitely end your semester with an A.

Yes. I had a B- first term in both Algebra 2 and Geometry and by the end of the year, I had an A-/A

It’s definitely possible! I took French last quarter and had a C up until the last week of the quarter, where I jumped to an A-. You can do it!

I’ve raised "B"s to "A"s before. It’s possible.

I went from I think an F (might have been a D+) to a B- in a quarter in multivar.

thanks everyone!
