Our counselor says they will contact us sometime in March about signing up for the exams.

What about you guys?

I did not sign up yet.

Our HS send out the announcements for sign ups around mid-March each year.

I’ll sign up before March

Yep. Five AP tests at $56 each for a total of $280. (:

haha well at my school if we make a 3 or higher we get a full refund :)

Still not as good as the schools that pay upfront for the exams though…

yes 5 tests for a total of $40

its good to go to a low income school

We just signed up this week. 4 exams at $86 = 344 or something like that…no refund or anything!

^ Same. I think ours is $84 and I’m taking three exams. Haven’t signed up yet though.
Is it even worth it if your school doesn’t take credit for good scores?

We got our info this week but isn’t do until mid-March. 4 exams at $86 a piece = :(. lol. No refunds either.

Self-studying, haven’t signed up yet. I have until March 1st to contact them right?

wow, you guys are lucky.

i had to sign up at the beginning of the month, before i know what schools i even get into or if they accept AP credits.

i’m taking three tests and they are all $89 each!
no reimbursement for doing well or anything…gah!

Ours were due last week. We got the notice in January. I’m a freshman, so I am just taking AP Human Geo. Though, next year I may take AP Art History and AP World History. That would mean it would be a lot of money. I just had to pay $10 this time. There are lots of kids who take AP’s, so it’s not a huge deal.

Didnt’ sign up. It’s due middle of march…

nope, march. I hope i have 85 or above by then.

We’ve gotten the forms, but our school won’t accept them until March.

yea, we had to pay in February. $86 for AP Chemistry.

I hate that we have to pay so much money to take a bunch of tests. Between all the AP exam fees and SAT/SAT II/ACT registration fees (and late fees, sometimes)… ugh.

Our money is due in a week. I’ll take lit, micro econ, calc, and environmental for $86 each. At least we get out of school for the rest of the day after each test. Really the only plus to weigh out the high cost.

I don’t understand why it is so much money. $86 is a lot of money even for middle class families. They should make it more affordable.
