Have you read "Early Decision" by Lacy Crawford?

Not sure if this belongs in the cafe or not. It's about admission, so I put it here in the parents forum. The book was just published late August. I just finished the audiobook -- thought it was great! It's well-written, no surprise, as the author was a college admissions/essay tutor.

I read it, or at least tried to. I’d heard about it through this website. I thought it was going to be a non-fiction book. I’m not a fan of fiction, so I didn’t care for the style it was written in. Once I got past that, I wanted to like the book, I really did. But I just didn’t care for the writing. I’m interested in the subject matter, but found myself scanning over vast amounts of the book. Then I just finally read the final chapter or so to see what happened with each student.

I would call this “The Nanny Diaries All Growed Up” and predict it will be made into a movie. P.S. I didn’t care for the Nanny Diaries either.

I just started it and I think I’m going to like it a lot.
