My parents are too busy to take a weekend off so I can either drive up to Davis myself to see it, which I don't really feel like doing, or I can make my selection without seeing the campus. So what about you, have you visited all of the schools you're considering?

Out of all the schools I’ve been accepted to, I’ve only been to one of them, and I forgot almost everything about the features of the campus. I intend to go to that campus next month and look around, though.

I usually go to Cal Poly Pomona around once every 2 weeks so I suppose I toured it enough as a pre-student, haha. As for the UCI and UCSD, I only passed by them :(. If anything, aren’t there virtual tours or pictures/videos online to look at?

Of the ones accepted, I’ve only visited UC Irvine and UCLA before. Haven’t been to UC San Diego. I’m still pending on Cal and I’ve visited that one already.

I recommend you see the campus before making a decision. Sometimes your perspective just changes. Happened to me

I’ve been to santa cruz. I actually spent three days on the campus. It was really beautiful. It is also ironic since I live in LA, and have never been to UCLA.

I’ve been to UCI and did a tour, and I actually loved it! I live near Berkeley, so I’ve been there a couple of times, and… I didn’t really like it. I’ve also been to UCSD and UCLA but I kinda just passed by, so I don’t remember the details. I’m planning on going to transfer Triton day and transfer bruin day (on the same day).

The one and only time I have been to UCLA was for my cousin’s graduation (I was in the 7th grade). When I stepped onto the campus my jaw dropped and I immediately fell in love with it. I never knew a school could be so beautiful and I knew I had to go there one day.

I have never visited UCSB, though I have heard nothing but good things about it. Some of my friends attend UCI and they love it there, but I haven’t been there myself.

I’ve been to UCR, UCI, UCSD, UCSB, and UCLA. This may be just biased but UCSB and UCLA campus is pretty amazing. The thing I’ve noticed is some of these campuses are hell when they get to that rare 90 degree area. There’s so much trees and greenery that parts of campus begin to overheat. UCSB has a beach right on it so you can go there to cool down (read: girls walking around in bikinis everywhere!) and UCLA just has that perfect balance between concrete and greenery, not to mention the buildings are beautiful. I’m not complaining about just the heat though; I’ve lived in 120 degree weather in Arizona for 9 years. UCLA and UCSB are definitely more spacious compared to other campuses and that just sits right with me. When you go to UCSB, you definitely get the feeling that this is a party school, but then again, I went when there was a riot at Isla Vista and some dude got stabbed and there were like 3 ambulances running side one another.

If I get accepted to Berkeley, I’m going up there with my dad so I’ll report back when I can. In 5 days though I’ll be doing a campus tour for UCLA STOMP so I’ll report my further inspections.

I’ve been to UC Berkeley for a wedding and UCI since I live in Irvine. Problem is i’m deciding between Davis and SB.

I’ve been to UCI as a cross enrollment student. It felt like a bigger/large version of a community college. Same looking people. Same looking classrooms and their cheap desks that can’t fit a gopher, let alone a fully grown adult.

The only noticeable thing that struck me was the amount of walking in between classes. I felt like I was at Disneyland. I was tempted to pay someone to let me rent their bicycle.

The one thing I liked was the food court. I couldn’t believe UCI had a jamba juice right next to the book store. There were a ton of other food stores, but I didn’t bother eating because I was content with my smoothie concoction.

UCI didn’t strike me as anything special. I didn’t feel as if I was in some grandiose institution that only the elite of the elite can attend. Maybe I’m a sour puss, but only the jamba juice struck me as noteworthy.
