have zollman scholars received decision yet?

Also, first year GPA doesn't count toward Latin Honors.

Tuition hike to $45,606!! YIKES!!

BJM, parents every year are so glad that they're not the parents of students a year or two behind their D's. (And it's just not at Smith.) I'm sooooo glad that this is the last year we have to squeeze like this. (Knock on wood re grad/professional school). I'd estimated that the nominal true cost of D attending Smith, before all FinAid, work-study, etc., would be $180K for four years. Think we're going to nail that.

Meanwhile, tight as finances are (real estate market ain't great), TheMom and I have executed the "Go" codes and flown through our Fail-Safe points: we're going to Budapest at the end of D's term, spending a few days there and then in Vienna and Prague. A suitable 25th anniversary present to ourselves, even if D will be accompanying us.

You go TD! We are also throwing caution to the winds, leaving for Tanzania mid-May to spend a couple of weeks experiencing some of D's adventures. Although a Kilimanjaro climb is high on her list, I don't think I'm that adventurous! I side-trip to the beach in Zanzibar is more along my tastes - we will see what evolves...
