So just wondering if anyone has received a call-back yet. I heard that if you are selected as a finalist, you will receive a phone call by March 1st.
I have a very strong feeling that I won't be selected, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed!

D has not heard yet.

My daughter has also not heard. I think finalists will be called this week sometime, everyone else will get a letter. It’s a long shot for my daughter as well, but worth a try :)

Letter was received today. :(

And I just received the dreaded letter as well
Oh well, I guess there’s still Hope for the Leadership Scholarship, and hopefully a decent FA package.
I’m very sorry for you, Nellieh, I feel your pain. I will keep my fingers crossed for you Smithmkt.

My daughter also received her letter yesterday, as well as her FA letter. She was offered a total of $30K including loans and $2400 work study. It’s a generous package, but it still leaves a lot left over :/

Wow, smithmkt, that’s still awesome though! If you don’t mind me asking, when did you send in fafsa and profile? We didn’t send in until the last minute, and I’m extremely regretting that now. I’ve heard that the earlier you send everything in, the better package you get. I don’t know how true that is. All I know is that Ithaca is my 1st choice, and my mom can’t afford to send me there without plenty of aid and scholarships. That’s why the Park Scholarship was so important to me. Anyway, I’m glad your daughter received such a good package, and I hope it’s enough to allow her to go - assuming that Ithaca is her first choice.

We got our FA letter today. Son has to get a loan for $5500 a year and use his merit of $15k. Not enough to cover the whole cost of $52k per year at Ithaca. Let’s hope there is good news with MLK scholarship.

We sent her CSS profile in December, and her FAFSA in early January, so I guess that was pretty early. It is a really good FA package - $10K Flora Brown, $12K Ithaca Access grant, plus $5500 Stafford loans and $2400 Workstudy - but with $55K annual tuition/room/board, it’s still a lot more expensive than state schools.

My son got letter for MLK Scholar Finalist yesterday. We are hopeful! He already has $20K from 2 other scholarship, but at $55K… We are still waiting on school of music decision.

Good luck Magpie43. My son was not a finalist for MLK and due to that he has decided to go to the state school Umass.

Applications were due today. I know it’s a tremendous reach but hopeful for my DS.
Anyone have an idea of how many apps they receive/interview/accept? It certainly sounds like an incredible honor to receive!

Unfortunately, DS was turned down for the Park Scholarship. Also disappointing is that they spelled his name wrong in the letter praising his application…I know they get hundreds of apps but for all the effort these kids make at least get the most common name in the country correct!

Has anyone been invited yet?
