I applied to CMU on Jan 1st and I haven't received a confirmation from them yet that they have received my application. I haven't got any email or anything else from them.....Isn't it time I should get my Applicant ID number to check my status?? Is this only with me or are there other applicants with the same situation too??
What should I do? Im kinda worried....

Mine took over a month to get to me, a lot of ED internationals had this problem.

It takes time to make a custom "Denied" stamp for each person.

^ What does that have to do with my question and what exactly does it mean?

If you applied on Jan 1, they know you don't really want to go there (otherwise you would have applied in Sept or Oct). So maybe they're not even going to send you an application receipt letter!

Naah.... only jerking your chain. You should get the confirmation letter soon. If not, call and ask them if they received your application. (If you paid the application fee by check, has the check cleared?)

It's alright, I just got mine yesterday and it was postmarked December 3, 2007. Just wait a while longer and it should be there.

I applied Jan 1 because I was trying to polish my essays as much as I could, not because I didn't want to go to CMU.....or else I wouldn't have even applied.
I really want to get to CMU.

louieville123, did u ever get an e-mail from tho? I haven't got any kind of mail from them..

I've phoned the office and they say that my receipt letter was sent out in December 19th. And I haven't received it yet. It is really a problem. Why don't they send us an email like other schools?

zzx05l1, are you an international applicant?
Cuz Im international and I don't know when i will get--wat if it's too late?
I wrote them an e-mail expressing my concern, but have not got a reply yet.

I‘m international and I have patience to wait for the letter. I don't think it would be a problem. The admission office has told me that my materials are received and full
