Hi everyone,

Got an offer from a company in beginning of October 2013. Accepted a couple weeks later and just got a email saying "Congrats! Welcome to XYZ Company. We look forwarding having you". I asked for next steps and didn't hear anything back. Asked again in December and didn't hear anything back. Now it's February and I still haven't heard anything from them. Should I send another email or try giving a call? I feel like I need to start filling out paperwork and start to look for an apartment (it's about 3 hours away from my home town).

Not sure if I should just keep waiting or trying contacting them. I did add the HR manager that recruited me on linkedin and he accepted so I'm assuming that's good?

Thanks!

If you have accepted the offer already, the next step is probably setting your start date. If that is done… then there probably are no next steps until you arrive for your first day! You might hear something a little while before you start about what time to come in on your first day or something. But… getting a job isn’t like college. They don’t mail you a big acceptance package. You do usually get some kind of formal offer letter with your salary and title. If you only have something verbal, then call HR.

Well they sent me the offer via e-mail in a pdf format. I just had to send in my acceptance via e-mail. But the start date has not really been set except I know it’s some time during the middle of June. The reason I was a little worried was because my other friends had to sign a bunch of papers and send them back. I had an internship this past summer where they notified me of all the steps that had to be taken (such as where to get the drug test taken).

I also have no idea which office I’ll be in (they have multiple locations in one city) and who will be my manager. Should I still just wait it out and let them contact me?
