Offered an internship, haven't heard back?

OK so I think I'm just being paranoid, but let me know what you guys think.

I was offered an internship last week after going through two interviews. The supervisor emailed me on Friday offering me the internship and said how excited she was to have me on board. I asked in my acceptance email when I should contact her, possibly in December since my internship starts in January, and her reply was that she would be contacting me about scheduling. She didn't mention what the time frame was so I really don't know if she meant she'd be contacting me soon (as in the next week) or later (as in a month from now). I emailed her back letting her know that everything is taken care of on my side, since she was wondering if I needed her to do paperwork, but I haven't heard back yet. I should just wait it out right? I don't want to pester her with emails.

Just hang tight! Usually offices are too busy to prioritize intern arrangements (as essential as interns often are to the functioning of the organization). She sounds like she’s probably busy and will get back to you when she can. For now, just enjoy having been accepted and make all the arrangements you can make without the additional information your supervisor can provide.

I used to worry about this too. If you have an offer, don’t worry that you haven’t heard back yet. HR folks are overwhelmed with work at this time; the logistics of organizing an internship program is really complicated. (It’s not uncommon for them to work from 8 am - 1 am during the recruiting season at both of the 2 companies I’ve worked at so far)

Here’s an update:

Would it be rude to email her and ask about scheduling, as in what days and how many hours she would like for me to be in the office? I ask because my current internship just offered to bring me back next semester and I would really like to do both. I’m thinking one Mondays and Wednesdays, and the other Tues and Thursdays, and if either need be, Fridays. I’m trying to figure out if this will all fit. I know it’s a lot, but I think I should be able to handle it. I’ve scheduled my classes next semester where I only have 2 (possibly 3) night classes that meet once a week, and 2 online classes. I’ve looked up reviews for the classes and professors, and most people say they are easy and don’t require a lot of work. I want to be able to give my current supervisor an answer asap, but I don’t want to sound impatient for my future internship.

Also thank you for the reassurance!
