I submitted my application at the end of October and they recieved all my materials on November 10th. I saw several people on here had around the same dates and have already heard. I have a 3.5 GPA unweighted, all honors classes, a few APs. 1800 SAT 28 ACT. Two sport captain, few other leadership positions, part time job since junior year. I thought my chances were pretty good but does the fact that I haven’t heard yet mean I should be worried? Any advice/input would be really appreciated and would help calm a nervous senior
UD reports that they will make an effort to make a decision within 8-12 weeks from when an application is totally complete. With Nov. 10 being your initial date this would place you in a time frame of early Jan to early Feb. With your stats IMHO you should be fine but you did not mention what major you are applying to. Some majors are much more competitive than others.
What Mwallenmd said is true. Your choice of major has a lot to do with if or when you will get accepted. My daughter went for speech and was accepted back in November. I have seen people apply with stats better than hers that have been denied or deferred because they chose a more selective major.
