Hello! I took the ACT with writing in September. I have extra time because of my ADHD so the test wasn’t sent in until September 23. I haven’t gotten my scores back yet. This Friday, it’ll be 4 weeks since the scores have been received. Is that normal? When can I expect to get them back? Will I ever be able to stop obsessively refreshing the ACT student website??? Thank you!!!
When I called, I believed they told me 3 to 8 weeks, and if you were to look into the ACT web site. I think they have until November 4 even for non special testing kids… As to you last question about obsessively refreshing the ACT student website, I think you should check with your doctor or therapist…
Hi! I took the ACT w/ writing in September too, and I got my scores September 20th (which was so much faster than I thought). But since you had special accommodations, it is understandable that they will take longer, and were sent in later. If they don’t come by this Friday, I wouldn’t panic (the SAT takes some time to release scores all the time), but just know that it will take some time, and they will come soon (which I know is totally difficult, I was refreshing the SAT website like crazy when I took my test, lol!). I would suggest you use the time to work on other aspects of college apps, (if you are a senior) so that when you do get the scores, you are ready to send the application as soon as possible. Hope I helped! Good luck, and I hope you’ll get them soon, even though the waiting sucks sometimes!
Thanks to both of you! I sent an email to them as well so hopefully I’ll hear back from them. I’d really like to be able to send my latest (hopefully better) scores to colleges!!!
My son is in the same position as you. He is a junior and he took the sept 10 test. He has some special accomodations such as time and a half and the use of a computer so he took it at his high school. I made some calls and found out that the act received his test on sept 20th. So, as they were sending out scores to students, my sons’ test was not received until the 20th.
Also, after a few conversations with some folks over at the act, they informed me that it does take a “little” longer to grade the scores since they really want to make sure that the students with accomodations got the proper time from the proctor etc etc. Who know, it may be bull, but the bottom line is that you will get your scores, but it will probably be towards the end of their self inposed deadline of novermber 4th. Who knows, you may get your scores by the end of the week, but I always had a gut feeling that my son would not get his scores until the end of october.
